9. Oh Jane. Why would you, I or anyone else trust the State with the worst credit rating to make financial decisions for my retirement? My City is plugging along just fine. Other municipalities should stop hiring people they can’t afford. This is merely the first step in consolidating debt that will be conveniently dumped into bankruptcy court when new federal bankruptcy laws are enacted. Think I’m crazy? Go search the IML, they’ve already drafted the federal legislation.
